In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top social networking applications on iOS in Hungary exhibited varied performance trends across different metrics, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Threads saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting with 18.1K at the beginning of October and gradually declining to 8.9K by the end of December. Meanwhile, weekly active users showed some volatility, peaking at around 378K in mid-November before settling at approximately 364K at the close of the year.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained relatively stable weekly downloads throughout the quarter, with numbers ranging from 6.3K in early October to 4.9K by the end of December. Active users saw an increase, especially towards the end of December, reaching over 520K.

For Messenger, weekly downloads were consistent, with a significant spike to 11.7K during the week of December 23. Revenue, though modest, showed slight growth, peaking at $28 during the first week of December. Active users remained robust, hovering around 1.4M throughout the quarter.

Facebook experienced stable weekly downloads, with a noticeable increase in late December to 9.3K. Revenue peaked at $3.7K in early November, while active users slightly decreased but remained strong, ending the quarter with 1.04M.

Lastly, Telegram Messenger showed a notable rise in revenue, reaching $3.9K in mid-December. Downloads peaked at 7K in early October. Active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 172K in late November.
